RESEARCHERS FROM UNIVERSITY OF ANTIQUE WIN IN INVENTION TILT
THE DEPARTMENT of Science and Technology acknowledged two faculty researchers from the University of Antique Main Campus during its VI Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits.
Prof. Christopher Gregorio and Dr. Marie Ann J. Raymaro bagged the gold and bronze award, respectively.
Gregorio was the regional winner and received the Likha Award for Outstanding Creative Research for his work on the “Valve Servicing Device.” The device is used in engine valve lock installation and removal in automotive engines.
Gregorio was also the winner in the Best Video Presentation category. He will represent Region VI in the National Invention Contest & Exhibits.
Raymaro, meanwhile, placed third in the Likha Award for Outstanding Creative Research with her “Chewy Bar Made of Mongo, Rice, and Muscovado Sugar.”
The chewy bar was part of UA’s Complementary Food Production Facility – Technology and Livelihood Resource Center’s complementary food to address malnutrition in Antique.
