QUIRINO STATE U GETS P14.5-M FUNDING FOR SMART CAMPUS PROJECT

THE QUIRINO State University has received P14.58 million grant for the implementation of its Smart Campus Project.

The funding from the Commission on Higher Education will help the school upgrade its IT infrastructure to increase its internet connection to 1GBPS.

The upgrade will be able to accommodate 10,000 cloud core users simultaneously.

Part of the budget will be used to build a multi-media center.

“The intervention will [focus] on the procurement of hardware and software, enhancing data and network security with end-point secure data coming in and going out of the network,” QSU said on Facebook.

“The updgraded network will also serve as a carrier for different connectivity and systems and future new technology,” it added.
