PUP STUDENT REGENT DENOUNCES PLANNED CLOSURE OF CALAUAN CAMPUS

/ 14 July 2022

THE OFFICE of the Student Regent of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines condemned the move to close school’s campus in Calauan, Laguna.

It said that the provincial government and the local government of Caluan decided to create a community college to replace the PUP campus.

The PUP administration lobbied to retain the campus but to no avail.

The OSR called the planned closure  “repressive.”

The Calauan campus has been running for 13 years.

PUP has four campuses in the province of Laguna —  in Calauan, Biñan, San Pedro, and Sta. Rosa.
