/ 13 March 2021

EIGHTEEN personnel of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines have received their initial dose of Covid19 vaccine.

The PUP said that its medical and dental staff were inoculated with Sinovac vaccine at the Sta. Ana Hospital in Manila on March 9, 2021.

Dr. Liza T. Yanes, director of the PUP Medical Services Department, said they feel safer now that they have been vaccinated.

“PUP medical and dental staff were among the frontline workers who were the first recipients in the priority list as prescribed by the Interim National Immunization Technical Advisory Group, a team of health experts advising the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases,” the university said.

Meanwhile, PUP is set to produce alcohol for communities in need to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.
