PUP MULANAY OPENS COMMUNITY PANTRY

/ 23 April 2021

FACULTY members and staff of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Mulanay, Quezon opened their own community pantry to help farmers.

The initiative dubbed as “Banggerahan sa PUP Mulanay” aims to help farmers who have bountiful harvest but could not sell their produce for a higher price.

The farmers are beneficiaries of PUP’s Techno-Gabay Organic Farming  program.

Techno Gabay is part of the Salin-kaalaman Program where beneficiaries were trained to earn a living, PUP said.

The “banggerahan” program is open every Monday and Wednesday until supplies last.

The university said that around 200 beneficiaries have received assorted vegetables, fruits, eggs, sardines, noodles, milk, coffee, and other food items.
