MORE THAN 900 employees and faculty members of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines have received their first shot of Covid19 vaccine.

With the assistance of the city government of Manila, the university said the vaccination drive was held on June 18 at the PUP Bulwagang Balagtas, Ninoy Aquino Library and Learning Resource Center.

“Sinovac vaccine was administered to more than 900 officials, employees, faculty members, and nearby residents who voluntarily registered under the A2, A3 and A4 categories or senior citizen, person with comorbidities and individuals who work as frontline personnel in essential sectors,” PUP said.

The second dose will be administered on July 16.

Earlier, the Alliance of Concerned Teachers urged the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases to include teachers in the vaccine priority list of the government.
