NASA 500 guro mula sa Philippine Science High School ang magsasanay sa Adaptive Design for Learning sa loob ng tatlong buwan sa Ateneo de Manila University.

Ang Adapative Design for Learning ay isang dekalibreng asynchronous project-based program para sa mga guro na nagnanais matuto ng pagdidisenyo ng iba’t ibang online course.

Gayundin, sila’y tuturuan ng pinakaepektibong pamamaraan ng paghahatid ng online lectures sa mga mag-aaral.

Isinusulong ng ADL ang isang holistikong edukasyon na kahit pa walang face-to-face classes, ang bawat mag-aaral ay ‘genuinely’ nag-aaral sa kanilang sariling oras at paraang pampagkatuto nang hindi napapagod sa sistemang online.

Una nang inilunsad ng Ateneo de Manila Institute for the Science and Art of Learning and Teaching ang naturang programa noong Setyembre 21 na magtatagal ng tatlong buwan, at ngayong Nobyembre ay tuluyan nang pinormalisa bilang isang partnership ng dalawang paaralan.

Ang partnership ay nilagdaan nina Ateneo President Fr. Roberto Yap, SJ. at PSHS System Executive Director Lila Habacon.

“We are proud to work together with our partners in the Philippine Science High School System as they equip their educators with the knowledge that will allow them to better serve the needs of their students during these unprecedented times,” pahayag ni Yap.

Sinabi naman ni Habacon na, “This partnership is a trailblazer for many ideas that shall improve teaching and learning.”

Kasama rin sa partnership ang benefactor ng programa, ang Januarius Holdings, sa pamumuno ni CEO JJ Atencio, at ang Endowment Fund for the Scholarship of Public School Teachers, sa pangunguna ni Chairman Dr. Rosario Bustos-Atencio.

Para mas maging aksesibol sa mga guro ang ADL, ang Ateneo ay nagbigay ng 65 porsiyentong subsidy sa mga lalahok sa pamamagitan ng RBA Endowment Fund at VTL Teacher Education Endowment Fund.

“The scholarship fund that we established in honor of our mother was so that we could help, even in some small way, uplift the delivery of education services in the public school system,” wika ni Atencio.
