TO HELP  quell fears of Covid19 vaccines, the president of the Pangasinan State University, Dr. Dexter R. Buted, had himself inoculated against the respiratory disease.

Buted got the vaccine jab on Thursday at the Region 1 Medical Center to convince  members of the PSU community to also get vaccinated.

“Una akong nagpabakuna upang maalis ang takot sa lahat ng mga PSUnians at para mahikayat silang magpa-vaccine na rin,” Buted said on PSU’s Facebook page.

He said that people should get vaccinated to help the country achieve herd immunity.

Buted urged the public to follow health protocols while the country waits for the arrival of more vaccines.

“We are definitely not out of the woods yet but we are all making progress in overcoming this pandemic,” he said.

The government on Friday issued emergency use approval for Gamaleya’s Sputnik V vaccine, which will pave the way for the country to acquire more doses.
