ONLINE CLASSES FOR GRADUATING STUDENTS NOT FEASIBLE — CDSL

/ 19 August 2022

THE COLEGIO de San Lorenzo said that the possibility of continuing classes even online for graduating students was “not feasible.”

“Unfortunately, we regret to inform you that after deliberations on this matter, such option is not feasible given the circumstances,” the school said in a statement.

On Monday, the school management cited “financial instability and lack of financial viability brought about by the ongoing pandemic and exacerbated by consistent low enrollment turnout” as the reason for its closure.

It gave assurances that it will refund the tuition paid by students.

It also expressed readiness to assist students transfer to other schools by “timely releasing their records and credentials.”

However, Quezon City legal department head Orlando Casimiro said that officials of CDSL face legal issues for its sudden decision to close.
