/ 18 September 2021

THE OCCIDENTAL Mindoro State College distanced itself from the professor denounced on social media for being “insensitive.”

It said that it has opened an investigation of the professor who told students who cannot afford to buy gadgets for distance learning to drop out.

OMSC on Thursday said that the comments made by the professor were his own and do not represent the university.

It added that an internal investigation is underway and that a substitute teacher had been provided for the class.

It said that counseling and pyscho-social support will be provided for the students who were affected by the incident.
