NVSU UNVEILS NEW DORM FOR INDIGENOUS STUDENTS

/ 11 August 2022

THE NUEVA Vizcaya State University has unveiled a new dormitory for its students who are members of Indigenous communities.

The two-story dormitory, located at the NVSU’s Bayombong campus, has 21 bedrooms.

The project, costing P17.3 million, was funded by the National Housing Authority.

The Deed of Transfer and Acceptance was received by NVSU Officer-in-Charge President Dr. Ruth Rana Padilla.

Officials from NHA, the provincial government of Nueva Vizcaya and the National Commission on Indigenous People attended the ceremony on Tuesday at the campus’ mini theater.

The university also received a dormitory for IPs in March which features a two-story building with 10 rooms.

NVSU opened the dormitories to help cut the expenses of IPs to support their education.
