NVSU APPOINTS DUMALE AS NEW PRESIDENT

THE NUEVA Vizcaya State University has appointed a new president — Dr. Wilfredo Dumale, Jr.

Dumale was sworn in as the 4th president of NVSU before Commission on Higher Education Commissioner Marita Rana Canapi after getting the unanimous votes of the selection committee.

He got all six votes and will serve as president from 2022 to 2026, subject to reappointment.

Before his appointment, Dumale was the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training and a Professor VI at NVSU.

Dr. Ruth Raña Padilla will serve as the regent representing Sen. Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero at the Board of Regents.

Padilla sat as OIC president for more than a year.
