NISU LAUNCHES MEDICAL MISSION FOR ILOILO CHILDREN

THE NORTHERN Iloilo State University launched a year-long medical mission for children in Island Bangayas in Carles, Iloilo.

The students of the Piago Elementary School were the chosen beneficiary of the program dubbed “Children Health Care Program.”

For a year, NISU will conduct deworming activities, provide multivitamins and medicines for 142 students aged five to 10.

The university will also schedule feeding programs for the children.

NISU President Bobby Gerardo said that the initiative is a way to give back to the community.

The program is funded by NISU, the Philippine KOICA Fellows Association and the Korea International Cooperation Agency.

Dr. Jendee Dalman and Dr. Mel Bryan Billones from the Capiz Emmanuel Hospital will attend to the children.
