/ 30 June 2021

The Commission on Higher Education has given the Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College a P15-million grant for its Smart Campus project.

The college said the grant will help transform its campuses into digital workplaces for its constituents.

It added that the development will be fully utilized post-Covid19 as NIPSC explores innovative digital teaching and flexible learning modality.

Dr. Alma R. Defacto, NIPSC president, thanked CHED for the grant.

“We are so grateful for the support extended by CHED to our institution to materialize the smart campus project,” Defacto said in a statement posted on the NIPSC official Facebook page.

“We commend the efforts of CHED Chairperson Popoy De Vera, Dr. Mary Sylvette T. Gunigundo-Dir. Office of Planning, Research and Knowledge Management, Smart Campus Personnel for the approval of the project and our local partners,” she added.

NIPSC is among the 86 state colleges and universities that defended their smart campus proposals.
