NEGROS ORIENTAL STATE UNIVERSITY AMBASSADORS SHINE IN PAGEANTS

/ 10 February 2021

TWO Negros Oriental State University ambassadors bagged titles in two separate pageants in 2021.

Reigning Mister NORSU 2020 Paul Gilbert Ananayo, a BS Architecture sophomore student, was hailed Mister United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary during the UAPSA Assembly’s virtual display on February 7.

Ananayo garnered a score of 94.33 and bested three other candidates from the University of Southern Philippines Foundation, Samar State University and University of Antique.

Meanwhile, Miss NORSU 2020 Kathryn May Salacut, a junior student taking up Bachelor of Physical Education, was crowned Negrosanon Queen 2021 on February 6.

The competition garnered following on social media after the #NoFilter photos of the contestants went viral. The Search for Negrosanon Queen was the first online beauty contest under the #TevesCares project of Negros Oriental’s Third District Representative Arnolfo Teves Jr., that emphasizes the raw, authentic, and unfiltered beauty of Negrosanon women.

Salacut was also hailed as the Best Speaker and also claimed the Best in Swimsuit and Best in Gown titles.
