THE DENTAL clinic of the Negros Oriental State University is offering free virtual consultations to its students, faculty and staff to promote the importance of dental health.

University Dentist Marites Sempio said the free consultation is part of the observance of the National Dental Health Month.

“This is a university-wide activity approved by the university president. Interested persons will have to follow the steps we have posted [on Facebook] after the second-semester enrollment,” Sempio said.

Online consultation for students and staff is by appointment basis due to limited manpower.

“Since only my assistant and I will cater to your needs, consultations will have to follow the appointment process; this is our means to continuously serve [most of you] since dental professionals have the highest risk of being contaminated,” Sempio said.

She explained that face-to-face consultations are not allowed unless dental clinics conform to the Philippine Dental Association’s Covid19 precautionary measures to prevent the virus’s spread, especially from asymptomatic patients.
