MSU-GENSAN DECLARES MENTAL HEALTH BREAK

/ 4 May 2021

The Mindanao State University in General Santos City will implement a mental health break to give its constituents a breather.

The break will be from May 17 to 21, 2021.

“Pursuant to Republic Act 11036, otherwise known as the ‘Philippine Mental Health Act’ and upon the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, a week-long Mental Health Break shall be observed from May 17 to May 21, 2021, to give the faculty and students the opportunity to take a certain amount of days off for their mental health, especially in this time of the pandemic,” MSU GenSan said on Facebook.

“Faculty members are directed to refrain from giving assignments and conducting synchronous and asynchronous classes during this period,” it added.

Students welcomed the news, saying that they badly need the break.
