MSC LAUNCHES FUND-RAISING FOR COVID19 INITIATIVE

/ 18 April 2021

THE MARINDUQUE State College launched a fund-raising campaign to help combat Covid19.

The MSC said it will hold a series of activities to raise money for the school’s pandemic response fund.

It said that a charity drive, donation and barter of pre-loved unused items will be held.

The college dubbed these initiatives as “Pera sa Basura: Ambag Laban sa Pandemya. Turn Waste Into Money and Help a Family and Community,” “Give More Coins for Charity: Make Every Centavo Count This Time of Adversity,” and “Donation & Barter of Pre-loved & Unused Items: Share the Surplus for A Cause.”

“The Office of the MSC President calls on all MSCians to support the fund-raising campaigns in setting up a response fund to win the war against the world’s common and persisting enemy — the Covid19 pandemic,” it said on Facebook.

“On the premise that ‘one does not have to be rich to help others’ and ‘no one has ever become poor by giving’, every MSCian is thus given the opportunity to be a contributor, donor, or sponsor by supporting these fund-raising campaigns. Together, let us break the chain and beat Covid19!” it added.
