THE MOUNTAIN Province State Polytechnic College campus in Bontoc will be locked down until March 24, 2021 after 32 of its employees tested positive for Covid19.

Bontoc Mayor Eusebio Kabluyen ordered the lockdown after it was confirmed that two of the college’s employees were infected with the coronavirus UK variant.

The Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit of the Provincial Health Office recorded a sudden spike in Covid19 infections in the campus.

MPSPC said all transactions inside the campus have been suspended temporarily as the campus holds contact tracing and disinfection.

The school advised its employees to undergo RT-PCR test.

“All are enjoined to exercise utmost care and observe the minimum health protocols at all times as we all collectively heal and recover as one community,” it added.
