MMSU GRADE 6 STUDENTS WIN IN NATIONAL QUIZ BEE

GRADE 6 students from the Laboratory Elementary School of the Mariano Marcos State University in Laoag City placed second runner-up in the PatalaSanlahi National Quiz Show 2021 conducted by the University of the Philippines.

Jacob Miguel Flor, Angel Mark Antin Planta, and Elijah Jeroham Nikulae Alimpia gained remarkable scores in eight topics — Mathematics, Science, English, Filipino, History, Ilocano Culture, General Information, and Current Events.

They were coached by Professor Romelyn Lagura.

“These stalwart geniuses prevailed in the regional qualifying round of UP Namnama Sirit and Saririb Contest Quiz Bee. Our pupils once again emerged to be one of the best in the nation,” Principal Bert Gamiao said.

“We hope that more learners from the MMSU Laboratory Schools will join similar events in the future,” he added.

Students from the University of Saint Louis-Tuguegarao were the champions. The team from the Saint Ferdinand College in Isabela  was declared first runner-up.

PatalaSanlahi is an academic inter-school competition joined by grade school, junior high school, and senior high school students from different regions.
