MARINDUQUE STATE COLLEGE TO IMPLEMENT ACADEMIC BREAK

/ 16 April 2021

THE MARINDUQUE State College will implement an academic break next week to give its constituents time to breathe amid the implementation of distance learning.

A memorandum released by the Office of the President said that the break will be from April 19 to 23, 2021.

No synchronous classes will be conducted during the break and no additional assignments or learning activities will be given to the students.

Students welcomed the announcement.

“Exclusions to the relaxed academic week that will proceed continuously due to time constraints are the Thesis Proposals/ Final Defense, On-the-Job Training/Field Study/ Off-Campus Teaching, and other academic activities approved by the Dean,” a report from The MSCians said.

“On the other hand, faculty and staff are expected to be at their respective workstation following their alternative work arrangement (AWA) while a self-survey visit will be held for some programs of the College. The School Deans are also expected to supervise this relaxed academic week,” it added.
