MAPUA RECEIVES POCKET WIFI, LOAD CARDS FROM PARTNER SMART
MAPUA University received 30 pocket Wi-Fi modems and load cards from partner telecommunications company Smart Communications, Inc. in support of its students under online learning set-up.
The university will be giving the pocket Wi-Fi modems to select scholars through its Center for Scholarships and Financial Assistance.
“Tie-ups with the industry bolster the university’s already established online learning capability, aiming to further enable Mapuans to learn and perform academically online amid the pandemic crisis,” the school said.
For Academic Year 2020-2021, the Yuchengco-owned university provides flexible learning options to students either fully online or blended learning mode depending on their needs and preference.
Digital Choice or the fully online mode is for students who prefer remote or distance learning, while Flipped Learning or the blended learning mode is for those willing to return to campus for face-to-face learning upon the approval of the Commission on Higher Education.
The donated modems were pursuant to the memorandum of agreement between Mapua and Smart signed last July.
