/ 11 December 2020

THE CITY government of Manila has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Go Philippines and Microsoft Philippines for a project that offers students free courses.

The Universidad de Manila will lead in bringing Microsoft’s Skilling Initiative to millions of Manileños and Filipinos, the city government said.

“Being an institutional partner of Microsoft Philippines is a strategic move for UdM and we are thankful to Go Philippines for this.

“We will be at the forefront of this Skilling Initiative because UdM deserves only the best,” UdM President Malou Tiquia said.

The UdM, which was established in 1995, offers academic and technical programs recognized by the Commission on Higher Educational and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.

Go Philippines is a social enterprise founded by Michael Goldsmith and Karl Leung that serves the education, healthcare and agriculture sector by creating and introducing uniquely integrated FinTech, EdTech, and MedTech solutions.
