MANILA GOV’T TO TURN OVER OSPITAL NG MAYNILA TO PLM

/ 19 June 2022

THE PAMANTASAN ng Lungsod ng Maynila celebrates its 55th founding anniversary with a piece of good news.

The June 20 event at the Justo Albert Auditorium marks the ceremonial turnover of the old Ospital ng Maynila building by the City Government of Manila to PLM.

The school said the building will be retrofitted to accommodate College of Medicine students.

Members of the PLM management will be coordinating with the City Engineer’s Office for renovation plans.

Outgoing Manila Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno‘ Domagoso will be the guest speaker when the university celebrates its founding anniversary.

Domagoso pledged to give the Ospital ng Maynila to PLM August of last year. The hospital will relocate to a 10-story, completely air-conditioned building to be fully sponsored by the city.

The previous building will now be known as the PLM Allied Health Sciences Campus, and will house classrooms and laboratories for the Colleges of Nursing, Physical Therapy, and Science.

“We are delighted to celebrate PLM’s 55 years of academic excellence and dedicated service to the City of Manila, the country, and society,” University President Emmanuel Leyco said.

“This would not have been possible without our loyal employees, competent faculty members, university executives, and of course, our hardworking students,” he added.
