LONGER SYNCHRONOUS CLASSES OPTIONAL — LA SALLE DASMARIÑAS

/ 26 November 2020

THE DE LA SALLE University-Dasmariñas said that extending synchronous class sessions by 1.5 to three hours in the final term of the first semester will be optional.

The school said that adding additional hours must be agreed on by the faculty and their respective students.

If students and faculty do not reach an agreement, “the required 4.5 hours should remain.”

Policy Development and Review Office Coordinator Jerome Buhay explained that the updated Implementing Rules and Regulations is in response to the survey conducted last October.

The survey on synchronous classes garnered a total of 2,073 respondents, 1,830 of them students.

Based on the survey, 633 students agreed on adding additional hours. Majority of the faculty also favored longer sessions.
