LETRAN MOURNS DEATH OF ALUMNUS AND YOUTUBE SENSATION LLOYD CADENA

THE COLEGIO de San Juan de Letrán community paid tribute to its alumnus Lloyd Cadena who passed away Friday.

The family of the popular YouTube sensation announced the death of the 26-year-old vlogger and asked for prayers during their time of grieving.

“It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the untimely demise of our beloved brother Lloyd Cafe Cadena. May he be remembered for all the joy and laughter he shared with everyone. My family and I ask for your prayers, respect, and privacy during this time,” the family announced on Cadena’s Facebook page.

Cadena graduated at Letran in 2014 with a degree in financial management.

But he started vlogging in 2011.

Fellow online sensation and another Letranite Mark Averilla, known as Macoy Dubs, also paid tribute to Cadena and asked for prayers for the bereaved.

“We got the news from mga friends ni Lloyd in Letran… I’m sorry, but, let’s pray for Lloyd. Let’s pray for his soul. This is very… ang hirap tanggapin kasi napakabuting kaibigan ni Lloyd sa’min,” Averilla said in his post.

Averilla said he confirmed about the death of Cadena on their group chat with other former student councils of Letran.

“Confirmed news from the Letran Student Council alumni group chat. What a sad day for us Letranistas and to those who love Lloyd Cadena. We will miss you Mamu,” Averilla said on his Facebook video.

The Letran Student Council Manila also paid tribute to the late YouTuber, noting that he was also a former financial management senator of the council from 2013-2014.

“Thank you for bringing so much love and joy in our lives. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends. May his beautiful soul rest in peace,” the student council said.

Cadena’s cause of death is yet to be disclosed by his family.
