INTEGRATED SCHOOL FOR SPECIAL CHILDREN IN CAMSUR SOUGHT

/ 3 December 2020

REP. LUIS Raymund ‘LRay’ Villafuerte has filed a bill that seeks to establish an integrated school for special children in Camarines Sur.

House Bil 8186 aims to set up a specialized institution for the physically handicapped in Libmanan municipality.

Villafuerte said the school will serve as a place to learn, develop and grow for handicapped individuals.

“As a pilot project, our educators can learn from the experiences to be gained from the operation and conduct of this school which can later on be utilized as a model for starting similar schools not only in Camarines Sur but elsewhere within the Bicol Region,” he said in his explanatory note.

The specialized school shall be for the deaf, mute or blind or those suffering from physical infirmities or handicaps who may not be able to cope in regular schools.

The measure mandates the Education department to include the operation of the Camarines Sur Integrated School for Special Children in its programs.,
