IFUGAO STATE U DEFENDS ‘NO VAX CARD, NO ENTRY’ PROTOCOL

/ 9 July 2022

THE IFUGAO State University defended its anti-Covid19 policy after receiving criticism for allegedly being “discriminatory.”

The university does not allow people without vaccination cards or negative Covid19 tests to enter its campus.

IFSU said that it is only following the national government’s anti-Covid19 mandate.

It added that the Commission on Higher Education which regulates and supervises higher learning institutions requires the strict implementation of minimum health protocols.

“IFSU implements the broader policies and regulations issued by the relevant government agencies in addressing the detrimental effect of the [pandmeic],” the university said in a statement.

“It had never been the policy of IFSU to target and discriminate against any specific group of people,” it added.
