/ 17 July 2022

IFUGAO State University President Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon was elected as the head of the Cordillera Administrative Region Association of State Universities and Colleges.

Dugyon was voted “unanimously” by the presidents of other SUCs in Cordillera to head the organization.

She replaced Mountain Province State Polytechnic College President Dr. Rexton F. Chakas after completing his term.

Dugyon was sworn in by Commission on Higher Education – CAR Regional Director Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan, Jr. at the MPSPC Bontoc campus on Wednesday.

“Your IFSU family prays that God continues to bless you with wisdom and zeal as you lead the University and the association of public tertiary education institutions in the region to new heights in light of a shared goal for quality higher education inspired by culturally-rooted development frameworks,” IFSU said on Facebook.

Aside from IFSU and MPSPC, other member schools of CARASUC are the Benguet State University, Kalinga State University, Ifugao State University, Apayao State College, and Abra State Institute of Science and Technology, among others.
