iACADEMY OFFERS REVIEW CLASSES FOR CG-ARTS CERTIFICATION

/ 25 June 2021

iACADEMY has opened review classes for the CG-ARTS Certification exams, a Japanese computer graphic certification test on 2D, 3D, and photography.

Design and Arts Professor AJ Siytangco, who earned his CG-ARTS trainer certification in Japan in 2019, will conduct the review. The school said he is one of the  few individuals in the country who is qualified to prepare candidates for the certification.

Siytangco is a former Creature TD and Effects artist at Lucasfilm Animation Singapore. He is now a resident rockstar faculty at iACADEMY School of Design and the Arts.

The professor believes that the recognition given by the Japanese organization CG-ARTS will validate iACADEMY students’ groundbreaking skills that will give them an edge.

“The member companies come from various creative industries such as film, television, and gaming. They include big names such as Polygon Pictures and Square Enix. Even in the local scene, having someone who is CG-ARTS certified will help secure projects and partnerships with Japanese companies and clients,” Siytangco said.

The certification exam is an excellent qualifying factor that opens opportunities for creative individuals hoping to propel themselves forward in industries involving computer graphics. It is developed by the CG Art Society of Japan (CG-ARTS) and is translated by the Game Developers Association of the Philippines, a long-term partner of iACADEMY in implementing game-changing projects and activities.

Founded in 2002, iACADEMY has pioneered specialized programs that are technology-focused, innovative, and industry-relevant. It offered the very first BS Animation program in the Philippines and recently, it was awarded the Most Innovative Design School by the Global Brands Magazine in the UK.
