GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR ISABELA STATE U SWINE FARM HELD

/ 24 October 2021

THE ISABELA State University Cauayan held groundbreaking ceremony for the establishment of a Swine Multiplier and Techno Demo Farm Building.

ISU Cauayan Executive Officer Dr. Precy Delima said the new farm aims to help boost the swine industry in Isabela.

She added the new facility also aims to help hog raisers who were affected by the African swine fever.

“The project was part of the government’s Bayanihan to Recover as One Act. The Swine Multiplier and Techno Demo Farm Project will support hog raisers in the province,” Delima said as posted on the university’s Facebook page.

“It will also increase the engagement of the youth in agriculture as it will serve as a learning site in the development of skills in swine production for agriculture students. It will also be a potential IGP for the university,” it added.

The project is set to be completed in five years and has a total funding of P10 million.
