NAKIPAGPARTNER ang Philippine Women’s University sa Globe Telecom, Inc. para patatagin pa ang digital education at online learning modality sa unibersidad mula ngayon hanggang sa mga susunod pang taon.

Ang Globe ang telecommunication partner ng PWU sa pag-uutilisa nila ng G Suites Enterprise for Education na hatid ng Google – ang pinakagamit at nangungunang learning management system sa buong mundo.

Ayon kay PWU President Marco Benitez, dahil sa Covid19 ay nakita nilang ito na ang tamang panahon para tuloy-tuloy na umunlad ang antas ng edukasyon sa Filipinas. Partikular sa PWU, pinlano na ang ‘transformation’ ng learning delivery hanggang sa matapos ang nasabing pandemya.

“The Covid19 pandemic has brought to light the need for digital transformation across our entire institution. While we had started a university-wide enterprise resource planning project as early as last year, as well as several attempts at a learning management system as early as four years ago, Covid19 greatly accelerated the need to adopt digital technology, particularly in the delivery of learning,” wika niya.

Mas napabilis umano ang pagpapaunlad ng LMS ng PWU dahil sa partnership sa Globe. Labis-labis ang kanilang pasasalamat sa walang hanggang malasakit ng kompanya sa edukasyon ng mga mamamayan.

“Though we’ve already been using the G Suite applications for several years now, we’ve partnered with Globe to acquire the Enterprise edition of G Suite for Education because we needed a more comprehensive and robust system to support flexible learning as well as the administrative tools and security features critical to operating in this virtual environment. We appreciate the ability to integrate Google Classroom with our Gmail, Google Drive, Google Meet, and a host of other G Suite for Education applications,” sabi ni Benitez.

Higit sa sandaang-taon na ang PWU. Nagsimula ito bilang eksklusibong paaralang pambabae hanggang sa naging bukas para sa anumang kasarian. Kilala ang unibersidad sa mahusay nitong Rondalla Team na nagwawagi sa samu’t saring patimpalak sa loob at labas ng bansa, gayundin sa intergrasyon ng agham panlipunan, pilosopiya, at humanidades sa lahat ng larang akademik, mula elementarya hanggang gradwadong aralin.
