The Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology recently unveiled its new Library Complex located in its main campus, Mati City.

The college said that the new library is proof of its commitment to ensure that DOSCST is an instrument of quality higher education.

The facility will be fully operational once face-to-face classes resume.

Present during the inauguration were DOSCST President Dr. Roy G. Ponce, San Isidro Municipal Mayor Justina MB Yu and Davao Oriental 2nd District Representative Joel Mayo Z. Almario.

“We want to give the students a comfortable environment that is conducive for learning, and we want them to know that poverty is not a hindrance in attaining quality education,” Ponce said.

The school said that other facilities will be opened, including a Wellness Center.

Ponce said that the college also plans to enhance internet connectivity and institutionalize research and development in every campus with the San Isidro as Center for Agricultural Ecotourism and Biodiversity Conservation.

Mayor Yu pledged P20 million for a solar light project.

Almario meanwhile said that his office will provide funds to construct a solar-operated water system on the campus.
