THE COMMISSION on Higher Education has given its approval to the Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology to operate as a state university.

The agency’s Office of Institutional Quality Assurance and Governance and Regional Quality Assessment Team inspected the school from May 10 to 12, 2021.

The school is waiting for the certificate of compliance to operate as a state university from CHED.

The move to transition into a university started on May 28, 2018 through Republic Act 11033.

“DOSCST anticipates becoming a full-fledged university on May 28, 2021,” the school said on Facebook.
