DLSU STUDENT COUNCIL HUMIRIT NG HEALTH BREAK

/ 2 January 2021

Ayon sa liham ni USG President Lance Dela Cruz kay DLSU Vice Chancellor for Academics Dr. Robert Roleda, mainam na magkaroon ng “academic easing week for Week 10 and full-on learning mode for Week 13.”

“We are writing to you because we are concerned with the adjustment of the academic calendar and the removal of the independent learning weeks. We have been receiving concerns that synchronous classes will already be held despite the assumption throughout the term of the independent learning weeks,” sabi ni Dela Cruz

“Since it was only announced last December 17, many have already made plans on how to utilize Week 10 under the assumption that there would be no synchronous classes and deadlines. Furthermore, professors have already released guidelines on what will be done by their classes during the independent learning week. Hence, professors and students alike already planned out what they would have for Week 10, and synchronous classes and assessments were not factored into this. However, we do recognize the need to utilize the remaining weeks to ensure that students and the faculty alike have enough time for learning this academic term,” sabi ng USG.

“We are proposing to have an academic easing week for Week 10 and full-on learning mode for Week 13.

“Furthermore, to avoid any miscommunications and misunderstandings, we highly suggest that an advisory be released stating that professors and students actively consult each other with regards to their availability on Week 10 and clearly communicate any changes from the original plans from independent learning weeks,” dagdag pa nito.
