DLSU POSTPONES ACADEMIC DEADLINES

/ 16 November 2020

THE DE LA SALLE University in Manila has postponed the submission of workloads by several days to give students more time to finish their assignments.

The school announced an ‘academic ease’ from November 16 to November 20 to help members of the LaSallian community “cope and gradually recover.”

During this period, students will finish all pending assignments for the term.

Professors were encouraged to reduce synchronous sessions and will not be allowed to give graded activities. All submission deadlines should be set from November 23 onward, a memorandum issued by the university said.

No additional requirements will be given to students after November 23.

Attendance will not be a basis for grading.

Recordings of lessons should also be given to students with synchronous classes.

“As we take on the various challenges amid the aftermath of a devastating typhoon and the ongoing pandemic, let us move forward together with compassion and understanding for our students and fellow members of the academic community,” the university said.
