DE LA SALLE University (DLSU) confirmed that an incident involving an incoming student who fell from a building occurred at its Manila campus on Thursday.

In a statement, the university said it has reached out to the student’s parents and is coordinating with the appropriate authorities following the incident.

DLSU said students who were in the vicinity at the time have undergone debriefing and are receiving counseling.

The university also appealed to the public to respect the privacy of the student and the family as they deal with the situation.

DLSU urged the public to help maintain a supportive and compassionate environment and said it would refrain from providing further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
