DLSU AMONG WORLD’S BEST SCHOOLS FOR PHYSICAL SCIENCES

THE DE LA SALLE University was included in the list of the world’s best universities in the field of Physical Sciences by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022.

The school’s Physical Sciences subject were ranked 801-1000 in THE WUR 2022.

Dr. Glenn Alea, College of Science dean, was delighted that DLSU was recognized once again.

“I congratulate the faculty, students, and staff of the College of Science and other units in the University who have contributed to this achievement,” Alea said.

He urged the community to remain committed in the pursuit of new knowledge in the fields of mathematics and statistics, chemistry, physics, environmental sciences, and marine sciences.

“Our outputs will hopefully lead to innovations that will shape and influence society, help the poor and the marginalized and improve the quality of life,” he said.

The THE WUR 2022 global rankings applied the same rigorous performance indicators as the World University Rankings, but were adjusted to suit the specific field.

The criteria highlights research resources, global outlook, productivity, and impact.

For this year, 1,227 institutions met the criteria to be included in the Physical Sciences subject rankings.
