/ 18 December 2020

THE DE LA SALLE University-Dasmariñas further cemented its resolve to implement sustainable practices when its president, Br. Augustine ‘Gus’ Boquer, signed the “SDG Accord” as part of the university’s commitment to embed the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in its programs.

Boquer said the university aims to widen its education, research, leadership, operations, administration and engagement activities in line with the SDG’s mandate.

The accord will align all major efforts with the SDG’s targets and indicators.

It seeks the involvement of members from all key stakeholder groups, as well as collaborations across cities, regions, countries and continents with other signatory institutions as part of a collective international response.

“For almost two decades, DLSU-D has been at the forefront of adopting sustainability practices and integrating it into the university’s various projects and initiatives,” Boquer said.

The DLSU-D is recognized by the UI Greenmetric World Ranking as the top Philippine university in terms of advancing environmental protection and sustainability practices since it joined the ranking in 2013.
