THE DAVAO Oriental State University announced on Wednesday that it will offer

Doctor for Education, major in Educational Leadership and Management — its first-ever doctorate degree program.

The university said those who will finish the program will have the competence and motivation to draw from expert-level knowledge and understanding in the field.

They will also have advanced independent research in educational leadership, including the ability to develop complex educational programs.

Applicants can reach out to the Facebook page of the university’s graduate school for more details.

However, the schedule for enrollment has yet to be finalized as the school is waiting for the certification from the Commission on Higher Education.

Netizens lauded the DOST for reaching this milestone.

Some expressed hope that the university will also establish its college of law.
