CSU PRESIDENT THREATENS TO SUE CAGAYAN GOVERNOR

/ 14 April 2022

THE PRESIDENT of the Cagayan State University, Dr. Urdujah Alvarado, is considering pressing charges against Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba for being “disrespectful.”

Alvarado issued a statement calling out Mamba for his “misogynistic” remarks against her during the groundbreaking ceremony in CSU – Lasam Campus.

Alvarado said that she felt debased after the “attacks” of Mamba.

She added that Mamba has been relentless in his attacks.

“I call out Governor Mamba for using that occasion and the campus as well, as his avenue for personal and political agenda… Foul words and crude vocabulary are not expected of a governor,” Alvarado said.

“My legal team is contemplating legal action. And I shall see to it that justice will be done, the soonest,” she added.

Alvarado also called out the governor in June 2020 during the initial dispute they had about the president’s reappointment.

Mamba has yet to issue a statement regarding the matter.
