CHMSC RECEIVES P23-M FUNDING FOR SMART CAMPUS PROJECT

THE CARLOS Hilado Memorial State College in Negros Occidental secured funding from the Commission on Higher Education for its Smart Campus Development Project.

A total of P23 million will be given to the university for the development of its ICT infrastructure, according to the school.

The project will cover CHMSC’s four campuses namely, Alijis Campus and Fortune Towne Campus in Bacolod City, Binalbagan Campus in the Municipality of Binalbagan, and the Main Campus in Talisay City.

CHMSC President Norberto Mangulabnan was grateful to CHED for the grant as it will help the school with its operations.

“Through this Smart Campus Development Project, we envision to provide a more effective and efficient centralized framework that links systems and make it easy to teach, learn, and do things better,” Mangulabnan said.

CHMSC is among the19 state universities and colleges in the country that was awarded funding for their respective Smart Campus projects.
