THE SOUTHERN Luzon State University received a certificate of recognition from the Commission on Higher Education at the 2022 Gawad CHEDRO8 Awarding Ceremony last Friday.

CHED awarded the university for its laudable efforts in complying with the agency’s policies, standards and guidelines.

SLSU was praised for its contribution to the Typhoon Agaton Relief Operations, to the Eastern Visayas Association of Higher Education Institutions and to the Philippine Associations of Practitioners of Student Affairs and Services.

The unviersity was also praised for producing five graduates under the Scholarship of Graduate Studies – Local Program Graduates of Sending Higher Education Institutions.

Since 2015, the university has received a total of 29 certificates of program compliance, the second highest in Region 8 next to the Visayas State University’s 38.

SLSU President Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes received the certificates on behalf of the university.

The 2022 Gawad CHEDRO 8 is an event for private and public higher educational institutions in the region.
