CHED OKS F2F CLASSES IN NU

/ 7 May 2021

THE COMMISSION on Higher Education on Thursday granted the National University permission to hold in-person classes for select allied health subjects.

NU said it received a Certificate of Authority from CHED to conduct face-to-face classes for its Medical Technology and Nursing courses.

Recently, several Manila colleges and universities were allowed by CHED to hold limited in-person classes for their health-related degree programs.

This will allow graduating students to finish their backlog in specialized laboratory and hospital-based practicum/internship subjects.

CHED officials inspected the retrofitted classrooms in Centro Escolar University in Mendiola, Manila to assess its readiness to conduct limited face-to-face classes around May or June for its graduating Dentistry students.

Last month, CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera III advised college deans to submit their own guidelines in order to be deliberated and approved for limited in-person classes.
