CENTRAL MINDANAO U DENIES ITS EMPLOYEES CONTRACTED COVID19

/ 21 April 2021

THE CENTRAL Mindanao University on Monday denied reports circulating online that its employees were infected with Covid19.

In a statement on Facebook, the school’s health unit said that a patient exhibiting Covid-like symptoms was brought to its Triage Emergency Area but was not admitted due to lack of equipment.

The patient underwent a rapid antigen test and tested positive.

“The patient was not tested here and is no longer in our care,” the university said on Facebook.

This was the reason why some of its employees are under quarantine for precautionary measures.

“As part of our INFECTION CONTROL POLICY, we have identified the level of risk exposure of our health workers and followed the protocol for isolation needs. While it is true that we have workers who are currently on isolation as a precautionary measure, none of them tested positive of Covid19 in contrary to the circulating false information,” it added.
