CENTRAL LUZON STATE U UNVEILS PEACE MONUMENT

/ 22 July 2022

THE CENTRAL Luzon State University unveiled its Peace Monument as part of its commitment to promote peace.

CLSU partnered with the Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light and Volunteer Individuals for Peace to mark the university as a zone of peace.

The peace monument aims to make the institution a place that promotes a culture of peace, Commission on Higher Education  Commissioner Ronald L. Adamat said.

The university also said that the monument will serve as a reminder to students to respect people with preferences in terms of race, religion, culture, and personal beliefs.

“The peace marker is an enduring symbol of the university’s commitment in nurturing and sustaining a culture of peace through mobilizing its stakeholders in a proactive stance and initiatives that promote peace in the country,” CLSU Vice President for Administration Dr. Danilo S. Vargas said.

The peace monument was unveiled last week during the 70th Annual Commencement Exercises of the university.
