/ 22 December 2021

THE CEBU Normal University announced that there will be delays in its delivery of basic services as the university was greatly affected by Typhoon Odette.

CNU said it still experiences power outage and loss of internet connection.

“We ask for your patience and understanding if delivery of basic services might be delayed or hampered as we continue to assess the damage to our infrastructure and check on the welfare of our employees and students,” CNU said in a statement.

“Thank [you,] our dear partners, for journeying with us through these challenging times,” it added.

Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia placed the entire province under a state of calamity due to the effects of the typhoon.

On Monday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council placed the typhoon death toll at 156.
