BULACAN STATE U TO HELP REHABILITATE BIAK NA BATO NATIONAL PARK

THE BULACAN State University will be in charge of the research and rehabilitation of the Biak na Bato national park in Doña Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan.

The park will be converted into an exhibit area.

According to historians, the cave once sheltered revolutionary heroes like former President Emilio Aguinaldo during their fight against the Spaniards in 1896.

It was declared a national park by President Manuel L. Quezon in 1937.

Officials from BulSU and the Protected Area Management Board – Department of Environment and Natural Resources met for a virtual signing of the memorandum of agreement for the project.

BulSU said that the project is in line with the program of the BulSU-Center for Bulacan Studies, which is under the Commission on Higher Education’s Study in the Philippines Program.

BulSU-Center for Bulacan seeks to boost academic development for the promotion, conservation and production of cutural heritage through educational toursim, BulSU said.
