/ 18 May 2021

THE BULACAN State University Sarmiento Campus on Sunday held a training program for members of the Lupong Tagapamayapa or peace committee of Barangay Pagsulhugon, Babatngon in Leyte.

It was the  campus’ first national extension service.

BulSU faculty discussed the constitution of the Lupon, the Local Government Code, the village justice system and held a workshop for writing barangay blotters and reports.

“Covid19 has not curtailed the capabilities of BulSU-SC to reach out and expand its horizon,” the university said on Facebook.

“Once again, BulSU has manifested its first core value: Service to God and Community,” BulSU added.

Next in the school’s agenda is the holding of an economics and livelihood seminar, which is part of its agreement with the Lupon.
