BULACAN STATE U DECLARES MENTAL HEALTH BREAK

/ 19 May 2021

TO GIVE its constituents a breather, the Bulacan State University declared a four-day health break that will start on May 20.

Dr. Cecilia Navasero-Gascon, BulSU president, issued a memorandum on May 12 suspending all classes and school work in its five campuses until May 23.

“The University recognizes the burdensome mental load of working amidst the current waves of this Covid19 pandemic and how it impacted the health of every member of the BulSU Community,” she said.

“Likewise, we understand the stress caused by the recently concluded online midterm examination to all our students and faculty members,” Gascon said.

She said that the break will give members of the BulSU community time “to recharge our minds, spend time to rest, sleep early, and seek the guidance of our Lord, who strengthens us and constantly gives us hope.”

However, Gascon said classes in Graduate School and College of Law will continue.
